“God has united you with Christ Jesus. For our benefit
Christ became for us wisdom itself. Christ made us right with God; He made us pure and holy, and He freed us from sin."
The other day I got to thinking about the first woman on earth: Eve.
I’m glad I was not Eve. Poor thing!
She had no mother and no father. She had no sister or cousin. And she had no girlfriend to talk with. Who told her how to be a woman?
Was Jesus her full instructor? Did he tell her:
You are going to have periods once a month.
You are going to have hormones influencing your moods.
Sometimes you won’t “feel” like having sex with Adam.
You will like your long hair and soft skin, and beautiful shape.
You will want to look pretty.
You will love flowers and chocolates.
You won’t like giving birth but you will love breastfeeding your baby.
Adam will need to take birthing classes with Me.
You are different from your husband but you are just as smart.
Adam will need you to encourage him and tell him how wonderful he is.
Truthfully, I can only imagine their conversation. Was she lonely not having a role model or female friend. I wonder what she told her daughters?
This I know: Jesus is all I need. From Jesus comes every spiritual blessing, all wisdom, and every need supplied. I bet Eve was super blessed!

Priscilla is a woman I want to meet in heaven
We learn something about Priscilla in Acts 18. When Paul traveled to Corinth he met a married couple, Aquila and Priscilla. This couple had lived in Rome and moved to Corinth when Claudius Caesar deported all Jews from Rome. In Corinth they set up their tent-making business. Since Paul was also a tent-maker, he asked to live and work with them. The Bible does not mention any children so perhaps this couple was childless. Paul taught them the gospel message of Christ our Savior. Aquila and Priscilla became believers and earnest workers for Jesus.
Also living in Corinth was Apollos, who had received the baptism of repentance from John the Baptist. He spoke and taught boldly in the synagogue. When Aquila and Priscilla listened to Apollos, they realized he needed more light. They took Apollos aside and explained the way of God more accurately to him.
I admire Priscilla because she worked with her husband and supported him. She fulfilled God’s purpose: “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper who is just right for him.” Genesis 2:18
United with her husband, they accepted Jesus as their Savior and worked together to serve Him.
Let us be thankful for her example in marriage .
“Who knows? Maybe you were made queen for such a time as this?”
Often we ask children, “What do you want to be when you grow up?”
Who knows??
We can only live one day at a time. We don’t often know why we are here?
God has the big picture. He sees the end from the beginning. He has a plan for each life. He determines who is born and when and for what purpose. "He has created us in Christ Jesus unto good works which God planned beforehand that we should walk in them.” Eph. 2:10
God gave Esther the talents of wisdom and physical beauty. She also had a wise uncle to take care of her. She had no idea she would be chosen to be the wife of an heathen king. But God put her in that situation and she used it wisely: She influenced the King to become a believer in the true God. She also was used by God to save His people from annihilation.
God puts each one of us in a certain place at a certain time to do a certain work for His glory. May we be a humble woman of prayer like Esther and let the Lord use us.
